Museum of Science and Technology

This project involves the extension of the Museum of Science and Technology in Belgrade, a cultural institution of national importance. The museum’s primary mission is to collect, research, protect, and present scientific and technical cultural assets, with the goal of elevating scientific and technological culture while popularizing modern scientific achievements.

A key challenge is assessing whether the existing spatial framework of the museum can adequately meet the ambitious demands of the institution. Can the architecture be flexible and adaptable enough to respond to evolving trends in various disciplines?

The design aims to identify the unique characteristics of the surrounding environment, addressing its challenges, specifics, and potentials. By creating new values while respecting existing ones, the extension enhances the context, improving its physiognomy, semantics, programming, and spatial solutions.
